Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annum + Annual Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading corporate finance and investment advisory firm seeking an experienced Senior Investment Analyst to join its expanding transaction advisory team.

This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile domestic and cross-border transactions across mergers & acquisitions, private equity, debt advisory and strategic corporate finance projects. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative team, working closely with Directors and Managing Directors while supporting clients through every stage of the deal lifecycle.

This role is ideally suited to an ambitious finance professional looking to take the next step in their investment banking career within a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain complex financial models including DCF, LBO, merger and integrated operating models.
  • Perform company valuations using multiple methodologies including comparable company analysis, precedent transactions and discounted cash flow analysis.
  • Support the execution of mergers & acquisitions, disposals, management buyouts, capital raising and refinancing transactions.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, financial reports, board presentations and client pitch materials.
  • Conduct detailed financial, commercial and market research to support transaction opportunities.
  • Analyse financial statements and business performance to identify investment risks and opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside senior bankers, providing analytical support throughout negotiations and transaction execution.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes with legal advisers, accountants, lenders and other external stakeholders.
  • Assist with transaction documentation, data room management and deal completion processes.
  • Review work produced by junior analysts and provide guidance to support their professional development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years experience within Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Private Equity, or a similar financial services environment. 
  • Must hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a Level 4 Financial Regulatory certification relevant to investment advice, corporate finance, or investment management.
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets, capital structures and corporate finance principles.
  • Experience supporting live M&A or capital markets transactions.
  • Strong commercial awareness with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines within a high-performing environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and financial modelling proficiency.
