Role Overview:

As a Risk Analyst, you will support the identification, assessment, and monitoring of risks that may impact business operations, financial performance, and strategic objectives. You will work with large datasets, prepare risk reports, and assist in developing frameworks that support effective risk management across the organisation.

This role provides a broad introduction to enterprise risk management while offering practical experience in financial analysis, reporting, and regulatory oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess financial, operational, and regulatory risks across the business.
  • Support the preparation of risk assessments, reports, and management information packs.
  • Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential areas of concern.
  • Assist with risk reporting for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk registers, controls, and monitoring frameworks.
  • Contribute to business continuity, governance, and compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk modelling exercises.
  • Assist with internal audits, control reviews, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with finance, compliance, and operational teams to strengthen risk management processes.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • FCA/PRA certification completed or in progress.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence working with data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Interest in risk management, corporate governance, compliance, and financial analysis.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and present findings clearly.
  • Professional, proactive, and capable of working both independently and within a team environment.

Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with strong academic backgrounds and a genuine interest in financial risk management are encouraged to apply.
